Local REALTORS® Supporting The Harvest of Haiti
Pelham, New York – January 19, 2010
Westchester County REALTORS are supporting The Harvest of Haiti, a nonprofit humanitarian outreach program aiding victims of the January 12 earthquake.
The Harvest of Haiti was founded in 2001 by Patrick Moore, a REALTOR and firefighter in Fort Gratiot, Michigan, who personally has made 64 trips to Haiti. The Harvest of Haiti supports Reach Out to Haiti, an orphanage in the earthquake zone and non-profits in four other parts of the country. See www.TheHarvestOfHaiti.com .
Moore, who is traveling to Haiti on January 29, was honored with a Good Neighbor award from REALTOR Magazine in 2007.
He and his team are bringing medical supplies, tents and other necessities.
Coordinating local efforts is Lester Kravitz of Kravitz, REALTORS, Ltd and participating members of The Guild of Independent Real Estate Professionals. Donations (checks only) payable to The Harvest of Haiti, an IRS-recognized 501 (c) (3) charity, may be mailed to The Harvest of Haiti, 4233 State Road, Fort Gratiot, MI 48059.
To donate on-line, send an email that mentions the amount of your donation to Haiti@WCMLS.com. You will be sent a reply email with a secure link that allows you to pay by credit or debit card or by an electronic checking account debit.
